The Oysterman

The food is good. The clam chowder and brussel sptouts were delicious. The Buffalo cauliflower is a bit spicy for me. My friend tried the lobster roll and said it was great. The chowder was plenty for lunch. We ended up tasting the brussel sprouts and cauliflower, but taking most of it home as we were stuffed. We would have loved to sit outside, but there were 6 of us. The tables outside can only sit 4 with the umbrellas in the middle of each table.

Easy-going atmosphere, featuring perfectly prepared fresh seafood and other delights. Shrimp cocktail would have made a great meal by itself. Gigantic shrimp, with a very zappy cocktail sauce. Buffalo cauliflower was coated just enough to make it interesting, crisp and tangy. Blue cheese sauce really tied it together. Lobster roll was amazing. The roll itself was chewy and grilled to perfection. Chilled lettuce and sliced celery gave it a nice crunch and slight sweetness. And an entire lobster of meat sat atop it all, each claw perfectly extracted, all of it succulent. Veg risotto had a deep and savory flavor. Rich and buttery. Too rich to eat more than half of it at the table. Happy to have the leftovers. We'd read that the service could be slow, so we were prepared to enjoy a slower-paced meal. The wait for an outdoor table was about as long as they estimated. All in all, it was a great choice for a relaxed evening out.
